Si tratta di un investimento enorme quello che il gruppo italiano Gasak ha riposto nel progetto “Vatican Mall”, ora pubblicamente conosciuto con l’altisonante Caput Mundi: un super retail store tutto vaticano, nato in vista del Giubileo del 2025.
Obbiettivo della struttura è catturare l’interesse dei ben 35 milioni di turisti previsti per quella data, che arriveranno da tutto il mondo per poi disperdersi in piazza San Pietro, a pochissimi passi dal Caput Mundi.
La struttura del centro commerciale occupa il quinto piano del Terminal Gianicolo, si estende su 11mila metri quadri e propone ben 40 marchi differenti tra alta moda, enogastronomia e accessori di lusso; partnership di rilievo, come quella con Salotto Brera, garantisce inoltre la presenza di luxury items di natura assolutamente sostenibile e solidale, come il brand torinese Canna di Bambù, i cui prodotti sono realizzati in fibra di bambù e plastica riciclata e che collabora anche con il progetto di moda solidale Made in Carcere, o come il marchio campano Corium, dedito alla lavorazione della pelle rigenerata.
Particolarità del centro commerciale sono i brand di evidente stampo cattolico, come il brand di gioielli Amen, il marchio californiano di candele profumate Saint, ispirate a figure sacre della Chiesa e vendute con una preghiera, e il corner di San Pietro’s Gifts.
