The new Travelers' Choice® Best of the Best Beaches 2026 di TripAdvisor – based on millions of reviews and opinions collected between November 30, 2024, and December 1, 2025 – has just revealed the beaches most loved by globetrotters. The ranking not only recognizes the pure beauty of the sea and sand: it also includes a new "One of a Kind" category, dedicated to coastlines with truly unique characteristics.
Isla Pasion (Mexico) returns to the top of the world as the most beautiful beach of 2026: a private island in front of Cozumel with crystal clear seabeds and incredible snorkeling opportunities, surrounded by coral reefs and sea turtle nesting areas.
Immediately after we find two jewels of the Mediterranean: Elafonissi Beach e Balos lagoon in the island of Crete (Greece), famous respectively for their pink sand and postcard-like landscapes that seem suspended between land and sea.
The global top ten also includes iconic beaches such as Eagle beach ad Aruba, the suggestive Falesia Beach in Portugal, breathtaking stretches of coastline in Thailand, Australia, Spain and the United States.
Italy as protagonist: Among the splendors mentioned, our country also shines. The Hairy a Stintino, with its turquoise waters and shallow seabed, is confirmed as one of the most popular destinations for travellers from all over the world. Further down the list there is also space Rabbits Beach a Lampedusa and the seductive La Cinta in Sardinia – confirms that the Italian coasts continue to compete with the best seaside paradises.
A whole new category: For the first time, TripAdvisor introduces the recognition “One of a Kind”, dedicated to beaches that offer truly special experiences in addition to natural beauty. In first place stands Boulders Beach Penguin Colony in South Africa, where you can observe a colony of African penguins up close. Other "unique" destinations include Beautiful island in Sicilia, Bamburgh Beach since UK with its medieval castle, the dunes of Sleeping Bear Dunes since Michigan and the lunar panoramas of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park in Brazil.
In a changing world, where travelers seek authentic experiences and extraordinary places, this 2026 ranking is a valuable guide for those dreaming of their next seaside vacation: from the most famous Caribbean coastlines to unexpected discoveries, to the Italian coasts that continue to shine alongside the wonders of the planet.
