With an exclusive event, the historic winery in the heart of Barbera d'Asti will unveil its most recent wine creation in a charming center dedicated to wine tourism, a crossroads of art and culture. The preview will be held on Sunday, May 11 at the Wine Tourism Center of the Barbera dei Sei Castelli Winery, located in Regione Opessina 41 in Castelnuovo Calcea (AT), and will feature “Perluna”, the winery’s first Extra Brut rosé sparkling wine. Made exclusively from Barbera grapes and expertly crafted using the Martinotti method, this new wine gem will be presented during the morning.
The day, hosted by Enzo Gerbi and Monica Meneghelli, will offer guests an unpublished story about the genesis of “Perluna”, including curiosities and anecdotes.
Afterwards, the experience will be enriched with a show cooking by chef Simone Grazioso, a talented face of Piedmontese cuisine and finalist of a well-known cooking television program. The chef will propose original combinations between his dishes and the wines of the Cantina.
The day will continue with moments dedicated to tasting, a convivial toast and a photographic corner designed to capture the memories of this exclusive occasion together with the guests and protagonists.
"Perluna is a new piece of the Il Risveglio del Ceppo project, which aims to enhance the historic Barbera strains and promote a circular economy in the vineyard," explains winemaker Enzo Gerbi, director of the winery and creator of the project. "This sparkling wine is made from grapes selected during thinning, which instead of being discarded, are transformed into very elegant rosé bubbles."
The project “Il Risveglio del Ceppo” has already given birth to a Barbera d'Asti, a grappa, a vermouth and cosmetics based on grape seeds. With Perluna, the Winery strengthens a path that unites winemaking tradition, innovation and sustainability.
"Our winery's mission is not only to produce quality wines," adds president Maurizio Bologna, "but also to respect the landscape and enhance the work of winemakers. Each of our projects has a strong social and cultural component."
Gerbi concludes: «The rosé bubbles of Perluna tell the thousand stories of Barbera, the most cultivated grape variety in Piedmont. Il Risveglio del Ceppo is also this: a way to celebrate the territory through wine, art, music and passion».
Admission is free and free.
