British chef Tom Shepherd, awarded a Michelin star for his excellent cuisine, is broadening his creative horizons with the launch of Twofold Spirits, a new premium spirits label developed together with his wife Charlotte.
The brand's name evokes a double essence: on the one hand, the personal and professional collaboration of the couple, on the other, a production process divided into two phases, which blends traditional methods and modern techniques. The result is a line of sophisticated spirits, capable of offering innovative interpretations of classic aromatic profiles.
The first two products to debut on the market are Banana Rum e Thai Green Gin, both with an alcohol content of 40% vol.
Il Banana Rum stands out for its exclusive use of natural ingredients and an enveloping organoleptic profile: hints of ripe banana, toasted caramel and a touch of vanilla give life to a versatile distillate, designed both for pure tasting and for mixing in tropical cocktails.
Il Thai Green Gin, on the other hand, represents a bold reinterpretation of the classic gin. Inspired by the flavours of South-East Asian cuisine, it is infused with lemongrass, coriander, kaffir lime leaves and a hint of red chilli. The result is a fresh, aromatic and slightly spicy gin, perfect for those who want to experiment with new and original combinations.
For Shepherd, this new project represents the natural extension of his research on taste: “In the kitchen I have always tried to understand how flavors can interact and evolve. With spirits, I am following the same path, pushing the boundaries of traditional combinations to create complex and surprising experiences.”
With Twofold Spirits, the Shepherd couple offers an offering that combines artisanal quality and gastronomic vision, appealing to both spirits enthusiasts and mixology professionals looking for unique and distinctive ingredients.
