Tortona is preparing to become the hub of Piedmontese wine once again with the fifth edition of Derthona Due.Zero, scheduled for March 29-31, 2025 at the Orsi Museum. The event represents a point of reference for enthusiasts, producers and operators in the sector, offering the opportunity to discover in preview the 2023 vintage of Timorasso, an excellent white wine.
Derthona Due.Zero, created to promote Timorasso, a native grape variety from the Tortona area, has established itself as one of the most prestigious events in the Italian wine scene. The 2025 edition includes a program rich in content, with masterclasses, guided tastings and meetings with over 50 producers who have contributed to the rebirth of this extraordinary white wine.
The first tastings indicate a vintage of great quality, thanks to favorable climatic conditions that have allowed an optimal maturation of the grapes. A wine with a marked minerality is expected, with intense aromas and a structure that promises excellent longevity, characteristics that have made this grape variety a point of reference among the high-quality Italian whites.
In recent years, Timorasso, identified with the name Derthona, has conquered increasingly larger markets, earning the respect of international critics and sommeliers. The growth of the Derthona Due.Zero event testifies to the growing interest in this vine, whose success is linked to the passion of local producers and the increasingly high quality of production.
