After the first model launched in 2024, the two iconic brands, world leaders in their respective areas, unveil a new jewel born from their collaboration. The new model called BL002 combines performance and precision with the pleasure of playing and will be accessible to all fans of padel and super sports cars.
A new range for 2025
In 2024, the BL001 range was produced in Sant'Agata Bolognese, near Bologna, at the headquarters of Automobili Lamborghini, in collaboration with Babolat's product research and development teams. This first collector's racquet, which achieved great success, was directly inspired by the automotive design of the super sports car frame and every stage of its production was done manually.
In 2025, the BL002 model was entirely designed within the Babolat Padel Studio near Barcelona and is the result of the fusion of Babolat's expertise in racket manufacturing and game technology, with Automobili Lamborghini's experience in manufacturing processes and carbon fiber design.
This time, the Italian company's engineers went to Spain to bring their knowledge, especially on materials, to their Spanish colleagues and thus contribute to this authentic fusion between the two brands. The Babolat Padel Studio allows Babolat to test and develop its padel rackets through the exploration of new production methods. The studio is in fact dedicated to innovation, to meeting the needs of players and, if necessary, to the production of limited versions of personalized rackets right in the cradle of padel, Spain.
The evolution of the partnership between Babolat and Automobili Lamborghini is a source of pride for Eric Babolat: “Babolat and Automobili Lamborghini, brands that stand out respectively in racket sports (tennis, padel, badminton) and in the production of exceptional super sports, continue to share their technological and industrial expertise to produce exclusive padel rackets. Our know-how and constant search for innovation are at the service of players of all levels and aspirations. We believe that all padel enthusiasts should have the opportunity to have a high-performance racket and we work every day to make this possible. The BL002, the first racket designed entirely in the Babolat Padel Studio, marks an important milestone for our brand and the culmination of a long-term project.. "
Commenting on the collaboration, Ranieri Niccoli, Chief Manufacturing Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, said: “Automobili Lamborghini is delighted to announce the second chapter of its collaboration with Babolat. This partnership goes beyond product design: it represents the fusion of two worlds, elite sports and luxury automotive engineering. Our carbon fiber production team has been directly involved in the creation process of this new racket, bringing all its expertise in materials and Made in Italy know-how to the Barcelona headquarters. This will be an object of desire for all lovers of padel and super sports cars.”
