The former Hotel Majestic in Rome is preparing for a new life under the name of Baccarat Hotel Rome, an exclusive five-star hotel that will be built on Via Vittorio Veneto. After a major redevelopment project, scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, the hotel will offer 87 rooms and suites, a restaurant with terrace, an elegant Grand Salon and a refined bar/lounge with panoramic views of the Capital.
Ownership of the iconic building, which closed in 2022, has passed to Boscalt Hospitality, an alternative investment fund linked to Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity. The relaunch and transformation of the structure will be supported by Invel Real Estate, active in the private equity sector in Southern Europe, through a €111,2 million bond issue. Invel, with a consolidated experience in the management of luxury properties, currently oversees approximately 2.000 rooms in the Mediterranean area through its specialized operating platform.
The brand Baccarat Hotels & Resorts, currently part of the group SH Hotels & Resorts, is destined for a major evolution. The management company, in fact, will soon adopt the name Starwood Hotels, marking the return of a historic brand in the luxury hospitality scene, desired by founder Barry Sternlicht. In Italy, in addition to the new Roman opening, the inauguration of the Baccarat Hotel Florence, thus consolidating the brand's presence in the high-end hotel sector.
