The new edition of Milano Moda Donna kicks off today, an event that promises to be full of surprises, including joint shows, prestigious anniversaries and eagerly awaited debuts. The event will be officially opened by Gucci, which will present its womenswear fall/winter 15-00 collections at 2025:26 p.m. For the first time since the departure of Sabato De Sarno, the fashion house will present a show with a proposal curated directly by its creative team, as announced by Kering at the beginning of the month.
This week's calendar dedicated to women's fashion includes 54 live shows and five digital events, for a total of 153 events. Among the highlights are important celebrations: Fendi celebrates a century of history, Dsquared2 celebrates its 30th anniversary with a show at 20:00 pm this evening, while K-Way blows out its 60 candles. Santoni also reaches the milestone of 50 years, while the scene will see the debut of Lorenzo Serafini as creative director of Alberta Ferretti, David Koma at the helm of Blumarine and the return of Alberto Caliri as stylistic director of Missoni.
Gucci, after experimenting with a separate format last November, is returning to the co-ed formula for this edition, while Giorgio Armani will close the event on Sunday. The calendar also welcomes new protagonists such as Francesco Murano, Fiorucci (who showed off schedule last season), Giuseppe di Morabito, Institution by Galib Gassanoff, J.Salinas, K-Way and Susan Fang, supported by Dolce&Gabbana. Saman Loira makes his debut in the digital segment. After its 15th anniversary celebrated at Milano Moda Uomo, Msgm returns to the women's runway program. Bottega Veneta, awaiting Louise Trotter's debut, opts for a special event in its headquarters, Palazzo San Fedele, in collaboration with Casa Mollino.
The influence of fashion on the Lombard capital will be significant: according to Confcommercio Milano, this edition of Fashion Week will generate an estimated economic impact of 185 million euros.
