The Armani Group announces the opening of its first restaurant in China: Armani/Caffè, located inside the China World Shopping Mall in Beijing. This new initiative confirms Giorgio Armani's strong bond with the city and China, a land that has always inspired his style and creations, offering customers an immersive experience in his lifestyle universe.
Designed by the designer together with his team of architects, the Armani/Caffè is accessible from the third floor of the large department store, with a dedicated main entrance, but can also be accessed directly from the Giorgio Armani boutique on the lower floors via an internal elevator.
The restaurant extends over a surface area of 350 square meters and can accommodate up to 110 guests in the two internal rooms, as well as 40 people on the spacious external terrace. The architecture blends contemporary design with a retro elegance, characterized by soft-lined furnishings and walls covered with light blue and gold wallpaper, enriched by the iconic palm motif. The refined and evocative entrance is dominated by a linear desk inspired by the VENUS console, which recalls the counter of the bar area and introduces the two dining areas: a more intimate one and a larger one, accessible through an elegant corridor with an open wine cellar. The floor in large seminato slabs with champagne metal details and the walls in bronzed mirror and golden metal evoke the sophisticated atmosphere of the 30s and 40s. The space is embellished with lamps and furnishings from the Armani/Casa collection, while natural light, delicately filtered, illuminates the rooms through the windows overlooking the external terrace.
The culinary proposal is a tribute to Italian cuisine with international influences, based on simplicity and lightness for a sophisticated and distinctive taste. The attention to the selection of excellent raw materials, the accuracy in preparation and the refined and essential presentation of the dishes express the philosophy of Giorgio Armani and represent the common thread that unites all Armani restaurants in the world.
