From Friday 15 to Sunday 17 November 2024, Scuderia Sant Ambroeus returns to Milano AutoClassica, a meeting point for classic car enthusiasts, with a selection of models with an interesting historical and sporting pedigree, in Pavilion 20 Stand D17.
Great attention this year to the classic 4x4 sector with three cars that have been protagonists in the history of the most famous Tout Terrain Classic competitions, starting from the Panda 4×4, legendary model with a long series of technological records, off-road raids and international awards under its belt. The version exhibited at the team's stand is a Country Club, class 1991, prepared by Miniotti Garage and powered by a 1.4 CC, 8 valve, 90 HP engine, which has brilliantly faced several competitions both in the African desert and in Italy, including the 2024 Panda Raid. Next to it, a Nissan terrano 2 prepared by Tecnosport powered by a 3.0 CC. TD engine with 200 HP of power, registered in the Dakar Classic 2025 together with two other crews from Sant Ambroeus, an unmissable event to celebrate the cars that have told the story of the legendary rally-raid. The Nissan Terrano 2 of the Montorfano-Borroni crew recently distinguished itself at the Pioneers Classic 2024, finishing fifth in the overall standings, but climbing onto the podium, second in her class. Also the Mercedes G-Class 560, which completes the Scuderia Sant Ambroues off-road display at the show, raced in the 2024 Pionniers Classic, finishing seventh overall, but taking the top step of the podium in its class, driving for the Pozzi-Pozzi team. Registered in 1983 by the Bolzano Fire Brigade, this G-Class was purchased in 1990 by Clay Regazzoni together with AMG and used for quick assistance to two other Class G units, one owned by Regazzoni and the other by Seppi. The car was preserved as it was in its 1990 preparation and was restored in 2022 by Team Tecnosport to tackle the 2023 Dakar Classic with the Pozzi-Pozzi crew.
Alongside these historic jewels, you can admire an iconic Ferrari 365 GTB4 Daytona Competizione, from 1971, a legendary car set up by Ferrari in only 15 examples. The model on display, powered by a 4.390 CC. V12 cylinder engine and with a power of 430 HP, is currently prepared by Giallo Corsa.
To stay in the racing field, but with an eye on education, great anticipation for the exhibition of a DP15 Single Seater Prototype of 2024, prepared by Dynamis – PoliMi Racing Department, a team of over 100 students from the Polytechnic University of Milan, who every year design and build a prototype of a formula-style racing car. The single-seater is registered in the Formula Student, an international university competition for open-wheel cars active in more than a thousand universities globally. After years in the Combustion category, since 2020 the racing department has been dedicated to the creation of a fully electric prototype, which from 2021 integrates an autonomous driving system to also compete in the Driverless category, equipped with an AMK engine, with a power of 35 Kw x4.
To face the 2024 season where the team took part in four international events (in Germany, Czechoslovakia, Austria and Switzerland) conquering as many overall podiums between the two categories, Electric and Driverless, the Team has worked hard to optimize the performance of the prototype, rethinking the wheel group, changing the size and compound of the tires. Thanks to the teamwork of the different departments, today Dynamis PRC competes with the strongest teams in the world.
At the team's stand there is also space for the partner Wyler Vetta, on the centenary of its birth, with its iconic watches, timepiece creations with a long tradition loved by personalities from the world of sport, motoring (from the Mille Miglia of 1948 to the customization of Enzo Ferrari's watch in 1975) and cinema. Among the most representative models on display, Tribute to Hermetic It is a hand-wound mechanical chronograph celebrating the centenary, produced in a limited edition of 100 pieces.
Sunday November 17, at the same time as the final day of Milano AutoClassica, at the ADI Design Museum, part of the Bookcity Milano circuit, Scuderia Sant Ambroeus will contribute to the presentation of the book “Fiat Panda. A masterpiece of design for everyone” by Giorgio Nada Editore, with the exhibition of 5 Panda cars, both road and off-road models, in the suggestive Foyer of Piazza Compasso d'Oro
