Omega’s passion for ocean exploration has played a major role in the creation of many of its most innovative watches. The Swiss brand’s role as Timekeeper during the world’s most famous regatta has led to the launch of numerous watches, specifically designed for high-speed racing. A tradition that has also been adopted in this latest splendid Omega watch.
Tribute to the 37th America's Cup, Seamaster Regatta by OMEGA with case from 46,75 mm It is a professional watch for sailors with analog and digital display, perfect for experiencing the sea and the ocean.
In addition to its grade 5 titanium case, the Seamaster Regatta boasts a host of valuable instruments including a moon phase indicator, chronograph, logbook, temperature indicator, accelerometer, 3 alarms and of course a regatta chronograph function.
According to the President e CEO of OMEGA, Raynald Aeschlimann, this new model Seamaster represents the perfect addition to the brand’s extensive range of professional watches. “Our new Seamaster Regatta belongs to the same watch family as the Speedmaster X33. It is a multifunctional instrument worn on the wrist. As the name suggests, it is a watch designed for sailors. We have chosen the perfect time for its launch: the great regatta in Barcelona will certainly inspire sailors around the world and this watch is designed to meet their expectations.”
Easy to read
Reading a watch can be tricky when sailing, especially when the sea is rough. Omega's Seamaster Regatta allows you to read data at a glance: the watch's unique dial features an LCD display with black indexes on a white-grey background that offers various digital readouts, as well as Seamaster Diver 300M-inspired hour, minute and central seconds hands, which can be removed from the display in backlit mode to improve digital readability.
Easy to use
Traditional watches are generally difficult to use when on the bridge. To help sailors navigate the many useful functions available, the Seamaster Regatta features four pushers – one red and three blue – all made of rubber for ease of use at sea, and a sandblasted crown with laser-engraved OMEGA logo that is activated by pushing and turning.
Easy listening
In addition to its digital and analog readouts, the Seamaster Regatta also emits acoustic signals for sailors. Turning the watch over reveals a wave-patterned caseback designed according to the principles of “Helmholtz resonance”: the inclusion of a special resonance chamber helps to increase the volume of alarms in addition to covering several functions.
The raised caseback reveals the iconic embossed logo of the 37th America's Cup, the Seamaster Regata and 37th America's Cup engravings, as well as the name of the watch's new multifunctional quartz movement: Omega's Calibre 5701.
Quick change of ocean-proof strap
The dial with polished blue ceramic pushers and bezel ring of this extraordinary Omega sailor's watch is presented on an integrated blue rubber strap with Omega's patented quick-change system.
