The Omega Bronze Gold Paris 2024 Edition incorporates all three legendary materials into a single design. The trio includes: the 39mm case crafted in Omega's exclusive Bronze Gold, the luminous silver (Ag 925) dial and the thin 18k Sedna™ gold hands with a special Bronze Gold PVD coating. The design is a tribute to sporting achievements, in which Omega is deeply involved on a global scale.
The Swiss manufacturer has been the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932 and this summer in Paris it will measure the event for the 31st time in its history. This legacy also extends to the Paralympic Games, of which the brand has been the official timekeeper since 1992. The “vintage” look of the Bronze Gold Paris 2024 Edition is inspired by a classic Omega wristwatch from 1939, dating back to the first years of timekeeping activity of the brand. The watch housed the famous hand-wound Omega caliber 30T with small seconds, and reported the reference “CK 859” in the technical sheets in relation to the material and shape of the case. Continuing this tradition, the tribute to Paris 2024 includes the “BG 859” engraving on the caseback, symbolizing the shape of the Bronze Gold case.
Known for its soft pink hue and incomparable resistance to corrosion and oxidation, Bronze Gold is an alloy owned by Omega, enriched with noble elements such as 37,5% gold, with 9 carat hallmark, as well as to palladium and silver. A sublime and one-of-a-kind creation, which gives this watch its distinctive look.
Other notable features include the “Clous de Paris” motif in the center of the dial which has its roots in French craftsmanship and remains an authentic emblem of meticulous and elegant decoration. Omega then developed the details with a brushed circular pattern on the minute track and small seconds dial at 6 o'clock, while the dark gray Omega logo is presented in the brand's traditional style. In addition to the “BG 859” engraving, the caseback is further decorated with a printed and frosted medallion of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Bronze Gold Edition Paris 2024 has a brown leather strap, featuring a sandblasted Bronze Gold buckle with the embossed glossy vintage Omega logo; the same vintage logo is also imprinted on the crown of the watch.
This hand-wound movement is a modern homage to the vintage 30T2 movement used in the past. It couldn't be a timepiece for the Olympic Games without ensuring the highest standards of precision and performance. For this reason, the timepiece is powered by the Omega 8926 Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber. A certification certifies that the watch has passed the Master Chronometer tests established by METAS (the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology)
