The Monte-Carlo Fashion Week (MCFW), the official fashion event of the Principality of Monaco, is back, full of new features and with an increasingly international focus. The twelfth edition will be on stage from 22 to 26 April 2024 with the resort, cruise and capsule collections proposals.
The event, year after year, acquires prestige, thanks to a rich calendar, where fashion shows and presentations blend with moments of reflection on the main themes related to circularity, sustainability, inclusiveness and diversity.
“We are proud to support Monegasque brands and at the same time to offer international designers and fashion personalities the Principality of Monaco as a prestigious showcase to present their collections and as a platform to discuss the importance of sustainable and circular fashion” declared Federica Nardoni Spinetta, President and Founder of the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode and of the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week.
In previous editions, Monte-Carlo Fashion Week saw the participation of brands and personalities such as Naomi Campbell, Alberta Ferretti, Philipp Plein, Etro, Fausto Puglisi x Roberto Cavalli, Rahul Mishra, Stella Jean, Gilberto Calzolari, Genny, Chiara Boni, Matteo Ward, Sara Sozzani Maino, Desserto, Tommy Hilfiger, German Larkin, Nima Benati. After the institutional opening at the City Hall, the event will move to the exclusive setting of the Monaco Yacht Club, where the "Face to Face" will be held with Federico Marchetti, Founder of the Yoox Net-a-Porter Group, President of Fashion Task Force of the Sustainable Markets Initiative founded by King Charles III when he was Prince of Wales, Member of the Board of Directors of Giorgio Armani SpA A new project against violence against women will also be unveiled at the Yacht Club. Great anticipation for the MCFW Fashion Award Ceremony during which the creatives and fashion personalities who have stood out for their ethical and innovative vision will be rewarded. One of the pioneers of social sustainability attentive to the values of DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging), Stella Jean, returns to Monte-Carlo Fashion Week as an exceptional godmother and will open the fashion shows with her sunny and energetic collection . Following on the catwalk, Monegasque and international brands will alternate.
Closing the catwalks will be the fashion shows of some young designers from Central Saint Martins in London with the sets of the Pavillon Bosio - Academy of Fine Arts of Monaco. The Fashion Hub will host the Pop-Ups and the Monaco Women in Finance Institute Symposium, which promotes the inclusion of women and female entrepreneurship. Radio Montecarlo will be the official radio of the event.
