Good news for luxury.
In 2024, according to the survey by high gamma Consumer and Retail Insights, more affluent and active consumers will further amplify their presence on the luxury market: this year 20 million "high-spending" customers out of a total of 370 million they have, in fact, contributed to sustaining an already successful market.
The results of the observations of high gamma they got to be introduced and heard at Congress Center of Cariplo Foundation, Milan, after a significant debut offered by the president of Altagamma, Matteo Lunelli.
“The high-spending consumer has a propensity to spend in double-digit growth. The number of retail outlets is stable, but with a significant increase in size , creation of increasingly personalized and exclusive unique experiences”explained, in fact, Lunelli. ” In this context, the Altagamma Foundation reconfirms its strategic priorities: manufacturing protection, internationalization through dimensional growth, digital and sustainable transformation and, finally, international promotion of Italian excellence".
Behind this growth, Altagamma identifies a significant change in consumer habits and values, as well as in the distribution mode of retailers; also important were the new ones consolidation and collaboration strategies applied by numerous supply chains.
The geographical areas that will benefit the most from this wave of sales will be the China (+50%) and the United States (+40%), while theEurope, unfortunately, it will not reach the same growth rates; interesting, however, the Middle Eastern context, where the increase in tourism and domestic demand for luxury goods in the United Arab Emirates and in Kingdom of Saudi Arabiaa seem to promise a happy economic epilogue for luxury.
