The silence and mystery behind the "disappearance" of Luis Sal from the episodes of Espaitec's Wild Moss, a successful format founded by Sal and da Fedez, his sidekick and colleague, is finally resolved after tons of theories and gossip.
An initial clarification regarding the situation comes from Fedez, stage name of Federico Leonardo Lucia, which outlines a voluntary departure from the youtuber, approached by the rapper back in 2017 to start an initially friendly and then professional relationship.
The reason for the abandonment of Luis Sal would be a prevail of Federico's presence and personality on the content and tone of the podcast.
“After a week of reflection he texts me and says: At the moment the format has taken on a connotation that is more of Federico than of Luis, I want to devote myself to other projects, I no longer want to do the podcastin fact Fedez declares.
In particular, it would have been the special episodes of the podcast dedicated to Sanremo to annoy Sal, given that they represented a desire and an initiative entirely of the rapper and that the youtuber did not approve; a sensible statement which would also explain the many tensions linked to the period of the festival, from the period of conflict between Fedez and his wife Chiara Ferragni until Luis Sal's silent farewell to the stage.
The latter's response, in this case, was not long in coming: the youtuber, known online for his genuine but ingenious humor and for his great skills as a videomaker and content creator, published a video right on the Youtube channel of Wild Moss.
A sort of moral hacking, which allowed him to carve out a dedicated space of excellence, and in which Sal explained his point of view complete with a PowerPoint presentation, irony and phrases that are already a meme on the web.
First, Luis focuses on Fedez's increasingly self-centered personality and how his behavior was affecting the podcast. “That wasn't supposed to be another place where he was talked about. I point this out to you as a friend many times, in many ways. Commentators point this out to him, saying he was always interrupting."
He then reveals a more serious aspect, in which Fedez seems to have proposed to manage Luis's departure both economically and publicly. “Come and make an episode in which you apologize for the absence with an agreed text” Luis reports. “I pay you (with the obligation of confidentiality) and I buy you your 50%".
"Now I find myself defending myself against a narrative I didn't want to be part of, even in private. From a little game by Federico that he's also very good at and that I don't want to play” concludes the youtuber, then pronouncing the phrase that has conquered the web. “Faith, I don't want to play: tell mom, tell the lawyer".
Fedez's reply was almost immediate, who instead focused on another aspect of the story: Luis, in fact, would not only have left the podcast, but it also owes large sums to Fedez, who "felt used like an ATM" by his ex-friend.
"If this sense of oppression had been latent for so long, why did you found a company two weeks before leaving, then asking me for 600 euros?” asks Fedez, and then increases the dose. “You don't pay people who aren't multi-millionaires like you and me".
Difficult to understand the truth which, proverbially, should be in the middle, but which in this feud seems to be hidden by the clamor of social media and by two very strong personalities, perhaps too much to coexist.
