Just over a week to go at the start of the highly anticipated Milan Design Week, which is preparing to open its doors to enthusiasts, curious and professionals of the sector: installations ed special events await the visitors of what already promises to be a record edition, while the engines are warming up, however, for an unmissable appointment that will start at the same time, the fuorisalone.
From the 17 23 2023 April over twenty districts and more than 180 events not to be missed, divided between exhibitions, installations, events and exhibitions and which have already marked a +40% of the initiatives offered compared to last years edition.
It starts with the installation Dry days, tropical nights, made by Glo and Agostino Iacurci on the tower of Largo Treves: it's about a open-air gallery, which for the occasion will be tinged with bright colors, palm trees, lights and landscapes with an exotic charm; the work intends to generate a discussion about the environmental protection starting from the beauty of the most pristine nature of the Caribbean Virgin Islands.
All State of Milan, however, it will be possible to admire the exhibition-event interior, made up of numerous installations and works by artists and expert designers, while the passages of the University of Milan in via Festa del Perdono 7, the Brera Garden, the courtyard of Portrait Milano with Audi and the Torre Velasca will come alive with the installations of the initiative Design Re-Evolution.
High fashion carves out a significant space within the event thanks to the opening of Palazzo Orsini by Giorgio Armani: here the maison will present the new collection Armani / Casa with a visit between outdoor furniture and period furniture in the historic halls of the building; likewise also Buccellati will present a new installation signed by the AMDL CIRCLE studio and Michele De Lucchi and curated by Federica Sala.
Finally, for those who search surreal and fantastic aesthetics there are installations like The Secret Garden in Foro bonaparte, an enchanted arrangement of flowers and plants accompanied by the furnishings of Casual by Bene, and Human Mandala di Sarah Ricciardi at SIAM, a work of art in which the human being himself composes the great frescoes of classicism.
