Torna la possibilità di organizzare eventi e manifestazioni e torna quindi anche il Raduno Vele Storiche Viareggio, una manifestazione iconica per la città che vedrà “sfilare” ben oltre cinquanta barca a vela d’epoca, classiche e tradizionali, sulla banchina del Club Nautico Versilia, dal 14 al 17 ottobre 2021.
L’evento versiliese presenterà dei veri e propri capolavori del mare e tra le più spettacolari ci sarà la Patience del 1931 da 23,50 metri, il Capitan Lipari del 1974 da 23 metri e Lo Spray del 1961 che è anche il più atteso, tanto che è stato inserito come protagonista della locandina.
Quest’ultimo è stato ideato da Franco Anselmi Boretti e il suo restauro è stato effettuato dal cantiere Del Carlo. Sarà presente anche la regata dell’ex classe olimpica dei 5.50 metri S.I, che dopo il 1949 venne riprodotta in 800 scafi, ma anche il Grifone del 1963 della Marina Militare, la quale mostrerà anche Penelope del 1966 recentemente restaurata e il Chaplin del 1974 e lungo 16 metri.
Sabato sarà la giornata dedicata all’eccellenza artigianale italiana della nautica tradizionale grazie al Cantiere Francesco Del Carlo, al Cantiere Pezzini e al Cantiere Checchi che da sempre identificano la nautica italiana su misura in tutto il mondo.
Il Raduno Vele Storiche Viareggio sarà anche lo scenario perfetto per mettere in mostra l’arte e la cultura locale con le opere del pittore viareggino Alfredo Catarsini, ma non solo. Segue anche la pittrice genovese Emanuela Tenti e il fotografo Marco Trainotti. Sarà anche possibile partecipare alle regate del mare sulla goletta Pandora di ”Vela Tradizionale”.
